Who are we?

Haxby Playgroups was born out of the Haxby Mothers Union and Young Wives who came together to form a committee. They created a place to hold regular meetings for semi-organised play.

We have grown and are now in our 43rd year employing 21 paid staff and have 112 children registered with Haxby Playgroups, attending 3 locations around Haxby.

What do we do?

We are a charity organisation offering childcare for children from birth to school age, consisting of three groups.

Haxby Playgroups is run by a parent voluntary committee with a qualified manager. We welcome all children in and around the surrounding areas.

What are our plans for the future?

To enhance the rescources and experiences we have worked hard to achieve for the children and families within all 3 venues. Working with the parents, chidlren and staff to ensure we work together to provide the best care and edcuation and work towards making Haxby Playgroups an Outstanding provision.
